Cute Penguin Christmas Gift Tag SVG – Free Cut File
If you’re looking for a fun and slightly non-traditional Christmas gift tag, this little penguin might be just what you need!
I created this Penguin Christmas Gift Tag with my Silhouette Cameo 4 and some pretty cardstock from 12×12 Cardstock Shop. I love using colors that aren’t the traditional red and green for Christmas projects, and this combination turned out so cute.

Here’s what I used to make my penguin gift tag:

- Colorbok Black Cardstock from my stash
- 12×12 Cardstock Shop cardstock from various Lynette’s Happy Mail subscription boxes
- Darice Snowflake Embossing Folder
- Cuttlebug machine
- Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue
- Dimensional Adhesive
- Twine for the tag

This is a great project for using up those pieces of pretty cardstock you’ve been saving. Be sure to do test cuts on your materials to avoid waste, and keep a record for future projects.
Adding Texture with Debossing
The shimmer on the textured cardstock tag was already very pretty; to make it more interesting, I debossed a snowflake pattern into the tag. A subtle bit of texture makes the background pop even more.
It’s one of those little details that makes a handmade project feel extra special.
Small terminology note: if the design is pressed into the paper, debossed is the correct term. If it were raised above the surface, that would be embossed.
Don’t Be Afraid to Use Non-Traditional Christmas Colors
One of my favorite things about making handmade Christmas projects is that they don’t have to follow the traditional red, green, and gold color scheme. You could even coordinate the tag with your wrapping paper for a really pulled-together look.
