Heat Transfer Vinyl Dish Towel with Free SVG
Hey everyone! This towel is straight off the press, the heat press that is. I used heat transfer vinyl and my latest SVG freebie to create this towel, so I thought I’d share a quick post.

It’s been a while since I found some blank dish towels in a local thrift store. These were brand new and just needed top and bottom hems. I grabbed one of them and was able to hem it quickly with my machine.
I cut my SVG file at about 5.25 inches wide from heat transfer vinyl using my Silhouette Cameo. Remember to mirror your image before sending it to be cut.
Be sure to press your vinyl according to the manufacturer’s settings. The vinyl I used called for 305 degrees for about 15 seconds. I used my Power Press to press the design to my towel. I’ve had this press for about 4 years and absolutely love it. It sits firmly on top of a large tool chest that I purchased from Menards, so it’s mobile and the drawers make a great place to store vinyl and other things related to my vinyl projects.
The vinyl that I used is from HTVRONT Store on Amazon and I’ve already used it on lots of projects. I’ve even used it on faux leather and it worked perfectly! It’s very easy to weed and seems to hold up well. The packaging is great and it comes with some of the best support materials. If you are a newbie to heat transfer vinyl this would give you a great array of colors and clear instructions for use.
I’ve often wondered about buying less expensive vinyl, but I’m giving this vinyl a thumbs up and will definitely be using it more often.
