Make Sweet Halloween Goody Bags with Heat Transfer Vinyl
“No Tricks Just Treats” Muslin Bags
My kids are older now, but we have grand kiddos and each year have a fall family party. I thought these muslin Halloween goody bags would be a great way to add some fun while giving them a special treat at the same time.
This post contains affiliate links. I’m thrilled to be a creative maker while also being affiliate for a wonderful company like Cricut.
I was able to whip up a few of these in no time using my Cricut Maker. The images I used were from my Cricut Access subscription. Making my own SVGs is great fun, but it’s nice to know I can grab something quick from my subscription. Here is the link to this project, so that you can use the same images I did.
There is not a lengthy tutorial for this. I just layered the heat transfer vinyl on the muslin bags. Don’t forget to mirror your images as you would with other heat transfer vinyl projects.
I attached all the black parts of both images so they would cut together and I weeded at the same time.
Then I layered the rest of the images in the following order and pressed them on with my Cricut Easy Press Mini:
- Black
- White
- Orange
- Yellow
You’ll want to attach each of the part of the candy corn so that it makes it easier to place them on your image.
You can see here I attached the two pieces on one side. I did the same for the other side. I’m planning on making more of these and may try slicing to avoid layering the vinyl.

These organic cotton muslin bags were purchased from Amazon and the package I purchased has two sizes. These would make great small gift bags for any time of year. *affiliate link
The price comes out to about $0.34 per bag which isn’t a bad price for making quick and easy gifts or even products to sell.
So grab your cutting machine and some cute images. There is still time to create some adorable projects for your friends and family for a festive and fun Halloween!
