Psalm 96  “Sing to the LORD”

Hey friends! I love creating for home and family. Today I wanted to share one of my latest creations with you. There will be a link below if you want to print out this page for your personal use.

This coloring page started out as a project to help me learn Adobe Illustrator and so far I’m having lots of fun learning. I wanted to bring a couple of my drawing ideas to life, and decided to make some coloring pages for my grand children.

I’ve mentioned in some posts before about how I started using my Wacom Tablet to take some of my drawings to the digital level. I’m still learning.

Recently, I started to dive into Adobe Illustrator, and it’s been an interesting journey so far.

Sometimes I’m not sure why I take on new creative journeys. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing it. Often times though, I watch a video, try something, and get so frustrated.

It can also lead me to comparing myself to other people and their amazing skills. The thing to keep reminding myself is that I’m just starting out. This was just a special interest that developed over the holidays.

One could compare it to a kid learning how to ride a bike. However, it will be a long time before I get my training wheels off. Although,  I’m happy with what I’ve learned so far.

If you’re interested in learning Illustrator, I’ve found some great tutorials on Skillshare and well as on YouTube.

If you think about any one thing in 2019 think about this: Learning is not something for just one moment in time. It lasts your whole life.

I’m blessed to have a very supportive family. We do our best to foster an environment of learning and creating on a regular basis. Each of our kids has amazing talents and abilities, yet they’re all different. It really brings lots of joy to my heart to see it all in motion.

So don’t give up! Just saying…..

All that to say, I’ve created this cute kid’s printable coloring page and hopefully left you with a little motivation to start your own creative journey in 2019.

This printable is based on Psalm 96. My husband said, “I bet that little worm is singing too because he didn’t get caught by that bird.”  That sense of humor is part of another creative process I guess. At least there are never any dull moments in this house.

I’m including the download link to the kids coloring page when you click on the photo below.  This is in PDF format so you can save it and print out as many copies as you want for personal use.

So far I’ve created 3 pages, and they’ve already been tested by some of the grand kiddos. Be sure to stop back as I will be uploading these to the blog over the next several days.

Take the time to create a project of your own. I’m always interested in hearing what people are learning and would love to hear about it in the comments section.

Have a great day and see you soon!
