Christmas Tags with Scraps and Free SVG File
Today we’re making Christmas tags from scraps. Tags are a way to use up bits and pieces of your stash.
Today I’ve cut these little tags in Silhouette Studio from a file I created myself in Inkscape.
At 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ these tags are the perfect size for a small gift or package and they are so cute when finished. Christmas is right around the corner and these tags are so simple to make. You’ll be pulling out scraps to make your very own.
Only Three Pieces
The beauty of these little tags is that they are only three pieces. There is the red background layer, a small white layer and the little dotted tree.
Tape runner works great for the tag layers. A glue pen works well for the tiny tree. You can certainly enlarge this to cut a larger tag when using your cutting machine.
I used a Petite Perks stamp that I had from Close To My Heart, but you can use any small stamps that you have. If you don’t have a small stamp, you could simply write a small sentiment or “To” and “From” with a gel pen or fine line Sharpie.
The enamel dots are optional, but add a little texture and fun to these little tags.
I’ve packaged the tag file in a zipped folder that you can download HERE.
