Bible Marker in Cricut Craft Room
For my morning devotions I’ve been reading To Live With Christ, by Bo Giertz. Today’s devotion came from Colossians 3. Being raised with and having new life in Christ, there is practical exhortation as to how we should live the new life we’ve been given. We also have the promise that despite all our mistakes and infirmities, God’s work continues, a beautiful wonder of His grace.
Today’s Word Art Wednesday from Psalm 149:4 reflects the same message. Time spent learning about our Savior reminds us that he has clothed us with his loving care and salvation. No matter where we turn in scripture, Christ is there, carrying out his plan to save his people.
This is such a wonderful verse, and I wanted to use it for a project. I’ve made lots of cards lately and doing something a little different seemed to be in order. Instead of a card I made a Bible marker.
Using My Cricut
The floral border comes from the Holiday Cakes>Paisley Border. I welded this to a rectangle and welded a scalloped border to the other side.
I made a cut file in Cricut Craft Room so that I can try this again sometime and used some Close To My Heart double sided paper so it looks nice from the back too. The pink twine from CTMH will help me to find my place a little easier.
As with all experiments, we learn as we go. Maybe the flourish stamping could have been a little nicer. I printed on a piece of copy paper first and then lined up my cut card stock using a little adhesive tape to hold it all down so I could run it through the printer again.
Next I decided to run it through my ancient laminating machine. This way it should look good for a long time. Now that I have the process, it should go easier next time, right?
It’s a beautiful day here and I’m looking forward to getting a little outside work done today. Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you again soon!
