In this video tutorial, I make use of the “Snap to Guides” and the “Layers Panel” in the Silhouette Studio program to make this project quick and easy.
Learning how to use these tools will make creating files in Silhouette Studio so much easier!
Supplies for the July 4th Pennant Banner
I love patterned paper, don’t you?
But when it came to creating a 4th of July project, I didn’t have any themed paper on hand. Instead, I used the simple supplies that I had on hand. I’ve chosen a plain red, white, and blue card stock for making my banner.
This project consists of a front, red and blue layer. There is a white layer in the back for the white stars and stripes.
In the video, I share how I make identical holes in both layers. When I assembled my project, the holes lined up perfectly.
Learn How to Use the Layers Panel
Another Silhouette Studio feature that I used for the banner tutorial is the Layers Panel.
The “Layers Panel” in Silhouette Studio is available in the Designer Edition and above. This made the work of sending the separate colors to the Cameo SO much easier.
You can find the layers panel in Silhouette Studio in the lower right hand corner of your software.
Just click on the button shown in the photo and then select the layers panel in the fly out bar.
