Fun Bookmarks with Adhesive Vinyl

Hey crafting friends! I just wanted to pop on here and share how you can make fun bookmarks quickly and easily with some patterned adhesive vinyl.

Supplies You’ll Need:

I created a bookmark SVG to go with this project and you can find that HERE.

Cardstock
Adhesive Vinyl
Bookmark SVG
Cricut, Silhouette, or another brand cutting machine

I used adhesive vinyl that came in a Vinyl Mystery Box from Expressions Vinyl. I love this daisy pattern. So bright and pretty!

How to Make Your Bookmark

First, put adhesive vinyl on at least one side of your cardstock. I did one with just vinyl on one side, and one with vinyl on both sides.

Now place your vinyl-covered cardstock on the mat where you plan to do your cut.

It will take some extra pressure to cut through both sides. You may want to do some test cuts with your machine on some scrap vinyl before you do your final cuts.

Next, you’ll import your SVG into the workspace of your program. The default size for the file is approximately 5 inches tall and 1.73 inches wide.

Send your bookmark to cut.

That’s really all there is to it. I suggest a mylar setting or maybe even a light chipboard setting. Be sure to check if your design is cleanly cut through before ejecting your mat from the machine.
