This little snowman is bringing you some early holiday wishes! I love making handcrafted cards for others and today I wanted to share this cute Doodlebug Designs Snowman with you that I made for Send a Smile 4 Kids. They are hosting a Early Holiday Wishes challenge HERE, and this was a fun card to make for that challenge.
I chose a double z fold design for my snowman card. I used to shy away from the fun fold cards, but found that many are much easier than they look. I made this one at Valentines Day and I think they are so adorable standing up on a table. A scoreboard really helps and it is a tool to put on your Christmas list if you don’t already have one.
There are many tutorials on Pinterest for various types of fancy fold cards if you do a search. I won’t go into detail on how I set it up. I wanted to keep the layering minimal, so I chose red card stock and simply layered the patterned paper on top.
I purchased the patterned paper pack for this card last year and it was perfect for this card. It’s by Doodlebug Designs. The little snowman was from the Silhouette Store and is from the Doodlebug Designs Here Comes Santa collection.
I offset the letters for “Joy” so that it would not blend into the card too much.
Foam tape was used to adhere the little snowman so that he would stand out a little more.
The little bit of snow sparkle on the hat, ends of the scarf, and the nose, come from Diamond Stickles.
To make the card so that someone could write a little greeting, I added a white panel on the inside.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed this little card. Create something simple for your home, family or friends today!
