Hope you’re having a wonderful and creative day! Today I wanted to share this cute little double z fold Valentine that I made for the Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge. If you have never tried a double z fold card, give it a try! They are not that hard and provide lots of wonderful possibilities.
For this card I used a piece of white card cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 2 3″ and 5 1/2″. The bottom strip is cut and scored somewhat the same but only 1 1/2 inches tall.
This is only the second card I’ve done like this, so while I’m enjoying the adventure, I’m not super professional at it yet. There are lots of nice tutorials out there on how to make these.
The Silhouette Store had lots of fun stuff for completing this card. I chose the “Assorted Houses”, “Dear Lizzie Fence” and “Truck Christmas Tree” for my images. I removed the tree in the truck image and replaced it with a cute little heart cutout and used welded circles and the knife function to make my clouds.
I chose papers from Stamps of Life “Forever” collection, Simple Stories “Sn@p! Color Vibe”, and just some tiny pieces of “Beau Jardin” by Penny Black Inc.. I’m still working out the greeting section, so for now I just stamped the little generic “Happy Valentines Day” tag. Hope you’ll send some of your own smiles across the miles. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
