Cricut Campin’ Critter Card

Good afternoon, although it sort of feels like morning. We’re a little tired after a wee hours visit to the Emergency Room when our oldest son was injured at work. I was working on this little Fun In the Sun challenge card and decided to finish it up with a sentiment from Cardz TV Mixed Messages. I just got them a couple weeks ago and have used them so much already. They’re so sweet for little doses of encouragement.

I welded the trees into an oval so that I’d have a window card. We love canoeing and have two red canoes, so I’m sure I’ll be seeing more of this little duck. The main image was from Campin’ Critters although the sun glasses were from “Create A Critter”. Makes him so adorable, don’t you agree?
Well, that’s it for today. Hope you have a wonderful day and if I don’t see you before then, have a great weekend!

Mojo Monday 407

Good Afternoon! Hope you’re having a beautiful day and a wonderful summer.

We had a lovely time over the weekend going to a nice little lake where we did some swimming and canoeing. It was such a perfect day!

Today I’m here to share my Mojo Monday card. You may think it doesn’t look like the sketch although I did try to stick to it (a little maybe). This is a card I’ve been wanting to do for one of my daughters. Since she works in a library I thought this would be a sweet little card to brighten her day a little.

The rectangle element from the sketch is replaced by the barn which is from the Cricut Country Life Cartridge. Our little pig friend here is from Barnyard Babies. Other elements are from Wrap It Up and Elegant Edges.

The Smile Stamp is from Cardz TV,  Mixed Messages. On the inside I used CTMH Lovely Birthday Occasions.

Have a terrific week and see you next time!

Good Morning Friends! Hope you’re having a wonderful week.

It’s always so fun to check out all the terrific cards at the Mojo Monday Blog. There is so much inspiration in these challenges and I always love to visit other card makers and maybe pick up some tips or learn something new.

My card for today is for my husband. We both got new bikes this spring and while we’re looking forward to more bike rides over the summer.

I just picked up a new Fiskars stamping press, making it a bit easier to use some of my larger stamps. Today was my first practice run.

For my next card, I decided I wanted to use my Cricut. I recently decided to subscribe to the Cricut image library and maybe there are too many choices! Inspired by a racoon that got into one of our kid’s treats on a recent camping trip, I made it the subject of this little card.

That’s it for today. Hope you have a great weekend and we’ll see you next time!

CTMH Confetti Wishes Birthday Card

Good Morning! It’s a little cool here this morning, but very nice. I’m looking forward to what looks like a lovely July 4th weekend with our family.

Today I decided to share a Close To My Heart card that I made. Ever since I purchased a Confetti Wishes paper pack, it’s sort of been my “go to” pack for birthday cards. Today I decided to pair it up with stamps from the Blossom Card Making Workshop. I’d never used the little candle stamp and I’m so glad I did. I gave them just a hint of shimmer with some glitter gel. So simple and fun!

Hope you too enjoy your weekend, and we’ll see you next time.

“Stretch Your Imagination” Thank You Card

Good morning! It’s beautiful morning here and I was just enjoying all the sunshine and bird song over a cup of coffee. I wanted to take a quick moment, though, to share a card I made that uses a little bit of mixed media.

One day while playing with my Cricut, I cut out these little trees with the “Stretch Your Imagination” cartridge and just a funky shape cut from the green dot paper. I put them together and wasn’t even sure what I was going to do with them, so they sat here for a few weeks.

I stumbled across them again, on my quest to find something else, and decided I needed to do something with them. I love to experiment, so I got out some watercolor and made a little background. It’s a couple simple washes and not too perfect really. I did a few strokes with a watercolor pencil and added a few red dots for my little flower bed. The background is from the DCWV Every Day Essentials paper pack that I picked up for 60% off.  Wow! Right?

Seems we always need Thank You cards, so I stamped it with a “Thank You”.

I really enjoy Word Art Wednesday‘s Family Friendly challenges so I’m sharing with them today. Thank You for stopping by and have a wonderful and blessed day!
