Good morning! It’s another bright but cold day in Wisconsin. The mister and I have been talking about canoe trips we would like to take. It seems to make me feel a little bit warmer.
Working with green and pink along with the Color Throwdown Challenge seemed to brighten and warm up the day as well. I just started doing challenges and it’s a great way to think about the paper in the “stash” and unleash some creativity.
Today’s colors are hot pink, light pink, green and kraft.
It’s been a couple weeks since I purchased a new pack of “Hopscotch” paper by Colorbok and I wanted to see what I could do with this pack. There are some really cute double sided papers in it. Sometimes it’s tough to choose which side to use. I’m starting to get over that feeling since there is so much paper in the pack!
As I was laying out the music paper, I was thinking about a stamp I have that says: Just a Little Note. However, when I saw the cute NOTES piece I decided it was just what I was looking for.
I used some stamps from my Close To My Heart, Happy To Be Friends set to stamp the sentiment on kraft stock. The little hearts are colored with watercolor pencils.
A little bit of scallop edge between the pink papers and some white behind my notepaper added just a bit of dimension. I decided that I wanted a bit more embellishment, so I found some matching buttons and glued them on with liquid glass. I just started using this product and it adheres so well. No chance that the buttons will get left behind somewhere. Love it!
All done. I really enjoyed playing along with this challenge and can’t wait to try it again next time. Have a blessed weekend and see you next week!
